Youth With A Mission (YWAM) New Orleans exists to be a beacon of God's love in a city teeming with life, history, and spiritual opportunity. We operate in the legacy of young missionaries who first came in 1982 for Mardi Gras Outreach and never looked back-captivated by God's call to serve this vibrant city!

New Orleans is a gateway to the nations, where over 1.2 million residents and over 9 million visitors pass through each year. We believe God is using this port city of New Orleans as a spiritual harbor-drawing in the lost, transforming lives through the love of Jesus, and sending out His followers to transform the world with His love!

Our mission is to welcome, train, and commission those who encounter the heart of Jesus here, so they may carry His light to every corner of the earth.
Our Ministries
It is our privilege to reach the New Orleans area through many forms of evangelism. We actively share Jesus throughout our city in many different ways including: ministry to the homeless, facilitating bible studies at the youth detention center, preaching in the adult prison, street evangelism, and holding a weekly kids club at a housing project in our community. Our team members are also very connected with local churches and ministries in the region and support various local prayer and worship initiatives.
We are honored to facilitate the outreaches of visiting YWAM mission teams, churches, and schools from around the world throughout the year. These teams partner with us to share Jesus with the people of New Orleans, and sometimes even learn new ways to share Him in their own cities or countries when they return home.
